Just wanted to take some timeout and show some love to my peoples Likwuid Stylez and Backwordz. The two unite to form the group Rebel Starr, and they are truly breath of fresh air. They had an extremely productive 2008, and this year looks to be even better for them as they're starting the first quarter out with a nomination from URB.com for the "Next 1000". Supporting me means supporting the family also, so hit the link up and vote for em!!! In return...how bout some free music

Rebel Starr Bio
Mars had sex with Venus and produced a set of twins, Back Wordz (the boy) and Likwuid (the girl). The soulAquarians, joined by the sign of the Water Bearer, were separated at birth leaving Back Wordz in New York City and Likwuid somewhere lost in the South.

In 2007, as fate would have it, the two kindred spirits rejoined and found each other in a street battle in the Lower East Side of NYC. Upon noticing the vast similarities in their appearance and their matching Afros, the two both agreed that they had been coupled together by Fate for a supreme purpose.

Today, the earth has been blessed with Rebel Starr, the Neo-Quantum-Retro-Hip-Hop-Boy-
Girl Duo.

(Rebel Starr has toured with Bow Wow, Lyfe Jennings, Talib Kweli, DJ Webstar and Ray Lavendar and was recently spotted on MTV's TRL.)

Progressive quantam hip-hop for the New Year. That's how you define Rebel Starr, which isn't easy—bordering on funk soul and trance-hop. Respectively consisting of Back Wordz, from New York, and Likwuid, from South Carolina, the duo believe in pushing boundaries and making a difference with their words Foregoing their individual accomplishments from street battles, emcee challenges and underground showcases, the two decided to join forces and take on the music industry as a tandem. Often compared to the likes of Jean Grae, Mos Def, and Outkast, the pair have performed throughout the East Coast; opening for a myriad of artists like Bow Wow, Lyfe Jennings, and Talib Kweli. Rebel Starr recently released their first promotional EP entitled "Rebel Starr presents Adventures in the Boondocks," which pushes sonic barriers beyond expectations. If you didn't know … well, you know the rest.
