A Dot McCray - The WishList EP

Whats going on folks. I want to take time out to share some music from an extremely talented producer, A Dot McCray, hailing from Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas. I'm blessed to be apart of his very first project "The WishList EP".
Seriously folks, the homie put together some real solid remixes of artist that he's anxious to work with in the future, and since the industry is always looking for the next up it could happen sooner than later. I hope that yall don't think the resume' will stop here. A Dot already has songs in the works with Carolina heavyweights FatRat Da Czar , Diablo Archer , and Texas emcee Ledjendary

Good Ole Hometown Sounds: Akshun and Dan Johns - Lets Be Clear Vol 1

Ah yes!!! South Carolina Stand Up!!!! Matter of fact I want everyone who enjoys good music to stand up right now!!! Yes!!!! I want you to finish reading this blog on your feet. Yes you can tilt the screen up so you can read the blog better. I love to see my folks put work in...Akshun and Dan Johns put together a real solid project. I want to congratulate them and the producers behind the project Croup, Encorenelius, Jah-Freedom, JackDollars, and a super special Angry Chimp Shoutout to the homie CAP. If yall aren't familiar with the homie CAP...please don't sleep. The joints he produced on this EP are amazing, and it gives you a serious glimpse of the things to come. Now that I think of it...Everything about this project is a serious glimpse of things to look forward to in the near future. CAP is a beast on the beats....CRACK WATER, Ak is spittin something serious these days.....I've herd a few tracks off his next album....CRACK WATER...Dan Johns is working on Hype Machine.....CRACK WATER. Aiight...do yourself a favor....delete that OJ Da Juiceman mixtape and make room for Lets Be Clear!!!!

Rock Dolo - Highway Rebel

One thing that I thoroughly enjoy is hearing an artist that sounds like nothing I've ever herd. I think that you'll agree that its damn there impossible to put a finger on who Rock Dolo sounds like. When this is the case you have no choice but to say that Rock Dolo sounds like "Rock Dolo". He's a true individual who raps from the heart. Dolo sent the project over and I listened later that evening. There were absolutely no skips! If I had to take a bathroom break I would pause the track and press play when I came back to the laptop. He's a gifted emcee as well as a producer...you'll see in the liner notes on the back cover that he produced over 90percent of the project. You can catch him every once in a while stomping around South Carolina, but he is rooted in Virginia which puts him in good company as far as hiphop artist/producers go (Neptunes, Missy, Timbaland, Teddy Riley etc.) To me, there is no such thing as listening to only a minute of a song on this project and being able to tell what its all about. I'm extremely proud of him and extremely proud of this project. Damn this cd is MONSTEROUS!!!!!

MIDIMarc Meets Australia with The Movement Fam!!!!

If you aren't familiar with The Movement Fam (Cee and Bekah, and Notion) its okay.....I'll help take care of that. They recently released a remix project in association with my favorite hiphop website "This Is Hip Hop", DJ Crusador, and DJ Nino Brown
I really enjoyed remixing these songs. It was a challenge because there was singing involved. To the remixers out there please practice at the piano. If you're making music you need to be familiar with musical notes, chords, and chord transitions. Remixing these songs brought a new sound out of me and gave me another opportunity to practice at merging samples and instruments. I'm extremely proud of the work I did, and I'm especially proud of the work that The Movement Fam did to release the project. This stage in my carrer it means a lot when people put in the work to represent themselves as well as the folks that are apart of the project. To The Movement Fam, I thank you..and this won't be the last time they hear yall over a MIDIMarc beat.

Help Build The Bridge
Its no secret that there is still an generation gap between the Baby Boomers and Generation Next. Some folks might not think that it's important to bring the generations closer together, but I do. One of the biggest misunderstandings is in the music. Lets be real.....old people are stuck in their ways and have no problem with blaming the country's problems on Hip Hop music. Its up to us to give them examples of every genre of Hip Hop music so they will officially look like douche bags the next time they try to blame a school shooting...a youtube fight...or Don Imus or Rush Limbaugh making insensitive comments on Hip Hop Music. The Elements and The Youth On A Mission Choir added a couple bricks to the bridge recently when they performed a song for Dr. Alveda King for Naomi King and representatives of the A.D. King Foundation...yes as in Martin Luther King. Its good to see my folks do good
